Balham (pronunciation) is located in southwest London in the Borough of Wandsworth. It’s situated between three large commons (or parks): Wandsworth, Clapham, and Tooting. It’s home to many restaurants, pubs, shops…and ME!
I’ve included some of my favorite haunts below.

Balham is full of independent shops and small chains that are worth a visit.
Backstory - If you want to grab a new book and a glass of wine, this is your spot.
Lark - You'll find cute gifts here, including some local souvenirs.
Charity shops - You never know what treasure you'll find in a charity shop. These are second-hand stores but you might score something great. If you have free time, they're worth a wander.
If you want to learn a little more about Balham, here’s a great little walking tour. It was only posted in May 2024, so it’s quite current and will give you a good idea about the neighborhood.
Don’t forget to give Joolz a follow on Instagram too!
(I also don’t know why they’re occasionally calling it Bal-ham, but just know that’s not how you pronounce it!)
