Today, We Party!
It’s been a long time coming, but the day of the party is finally here!
I decided to move the Routemaster bus tour to Saturday instead of Friday so more people can join. So we’ll start off the day with a bus tour around London on a 1960s period-restored London Routemaster bus. I’ve booked a 90-minute guided tour around London that will take us past all of the major sights starting at 10am and departing from London Bridge station.
The bus can hold up to 72 people so the cost will be dependent on how many people join. For estimating purposes, if 40 people opt in, the price will be £25 (USD$32) per person.
The tour will end at Leicester Square around 11:30 am and then the afternoon is open until the party starts.
If you would like to have dinner at the The Wheatsheaf, I’ll be coordinating a pre-orders to be served at 5 pm (menu to be sent out closer to the date). This will be a self-funded dinner that will start a little earlier than actual party and is just an option if you don’t want to have to think too hard about where to eat that night.
Around 7 pm, we’ll start trivia. You all know I love a pub quiz, so I figured what better way to start off the night. This is VERY informal and just for a bit of fun. I’ll be hosting it (along with some special guests who have also volunteered) and it will last about 45 minutes. Keep your expectations low!
If you don’t want to participate in trivia, everything else kicks off around 8 pm. We’ll have music, karaoke, hor d’oeuvres, dessert, and a cash bar. We get kicked out of the space at 12 am, but you can continue on in the pub downstairs until 1 am.
